MEP BIM Modeler (Junior / Intermediate / Senior)

Job Summary
We are seeking MEP BIM professionals across multiple experience levels to support BIM modeling and coordination for Middle East building projects, including villas, high-rise residential and commercial towers, and mixed-use developments. The role involves delivering coordinated BIM models in compliance with project BIM standards, authority requirements, and client specifications, with involvement in LOD 300 to LOD 400/500 deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop BIM models for HVAC, Storm Water, Irrigation, Utilities, LPG, Power, and Telecom systems
• Support MEP modeling and coordination for high-rise towers, basements, plant rooms, podiums and external works
• Prepare coordinated drawings, schedules and BIM deliverables
• Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues (as per experience level)
• Implement design updates and coordination comments
• Follow BIM standards, BEP requirements, and CDE workflows
• Ensure compliance with Middle East authority requirements
Experience Bands
Intermediate (3–5 Years)
• Independently develop coordinated BIM models
• Handle risers, shafts, plant rooms, and utility networks
• Perform clash detection and support construction document submissions
• Attention to detail & ability to interpret technical drawings
• Prepare and modify plumbing drawings, layouts, and schematics
• Develop detailed designs for water supply, drainage, and fire-fighting systems
• Work closely with engineers & site teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Ensure designs follow UAE & international plumbing codes and standards
• Coordinate with other MEP disciplines for smooth project execution
Senior (6–8 Years)
• Lead MEP & Utilities BIM modeling and coordination
• Manage BIM delivery for high-rise and large-scale projects
• Review models, lead coordination meetings, and mentor teams
• Use Navisworks Manage to perform clash detection and coordinate with architectural and structural disciplines to resolve interdisciplinary conflicts before construction.
• Develop and maintain models to LOD 300, LOD 400 (shop drawings), and LOD 500 (as-built) as per project stage.
• Follow BIM standards, BEP requirements, and CDE workflows
• Assist with site coordinators and provide required information’s,
Qualifications & Skills
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Relevant experience in MEP & BIM modeling (as per level)
• Software Proficiency: Expert in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks (for clash detection/federation).
• Working knowledge of Navisworks
• Experience on high-rise residential and commercial buildings
• Strong understanding of BIM processes and standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
• Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and provide technical updates to Project Managers and BIM Managers.
• Must have GCC or UAE experience in construction/MEP projects.
Authority & Standards Exposure (Preferred)
• Experience or familiarity with Middle East authorities: DEWA, ADDC, SEWA (UAE)
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and local authority guidelines
Preferred
• Middle East project experience
• Exposure to BIM automation tools (Dynamo, Revit add-ins)
• Knowledge of UAE plumbing codes and regulations
