Rebar BIM Modeller / Reinforcement Detailer

Working Schedule: 6 days per week
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant reinforcement modelling and detailing experience
Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Rebar BIM Modellers for a fast-track project involving large quantities of reinforced concrete and heavily reinforced substructure elements. The role involves producing coordinated reinforcement models, shop drawings and bar bending schedules suitable for fabrication and site installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D reinforcement models for pile caps, rafts, foundations, retaining walls, columns, beams, slabs and other concrete elements.
- Prepare reinforcement shop drawings, sections, placing details and bar bending schedules.
- Detail bar sizes, spacing, concrete cover, laps, anchorage, couplers and starter bars in accordance with approved design information and project standards.
- Identify reinforcement congestion, clashes and installation constraints, particularly at heavily reinforced connections.
- Coordinate reinforcement with concrete geometry, openings, embedded items and MEP penetrations.
- Raise technical queries for missing or conflicting information and obtain approval before incorporating changes to design requirements.
- Organise reinforcement models, drawings and schedules into agreed construction zones and pour packages.
- Maintain consistent bar marks, quantities and schedules across all deliverables.
- Incorporate consultant comments, approved revisions and site coordination requirements.
- Check model-to-drawing consistency and bar bending schedule accuracy before submission.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, BIM coordinators and construction teams to address constructability issues.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on reinforcement modelling and detailing experience, including heavily reinforced concrete structures.
- Strong proficiency in Revit reinforcement modelling or Tekla Structures, aligned with the project’s modelling platform.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, reinforcement shop drawings and bar bending schedules.
- Sound knowledge of reinforcement detailing conventions and applicable project standards.
- Demonstrated experience with large rafts, pile caps, retaining walls and congested structural connections.
- Practical understanding of reinforcement fabrication, fixing sequences, construction joints and installation access.
- Ability to manage revisions and deliver accurate work within demanding construction schedules.
- UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
Selection Requirement
Shortlisted candidates will be required to demonstrate relevant models, shop drawings and bar bending schedules, subject to confidentiality restrictions, and complete a practical modelling and detailing assessment.
