Senior Structural Engineer (6 to 8 Years Experience)

Job Purpose
To independently lead structural design, analysis, and delivery of complex buildings and water infrastructure projects such as treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, industrial structures, and specialized hydraulic facilities. Senior engineers will manage design packages, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality, safety, and compliance across all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Lead structural design for reservoirs, water plants, buildings, and specialized hydraulic structures.
- Perform advanced FE analysis, modelling, simulation, and optimization of structural systems.
- Prepare complete calculation reports and ensure compliance with IS, BS/Eurocode, and ACI standards.
- Review and approve strengthening/retrofitting proposals for existing structures.
- Champion internal technical development, automation, and best practices.
Drawings & Deliverables
- Lead production and checking of GA drawings, reinforcement detailing, schedules, and construction packages.
- Review design basis reports, specifications, BOQs, and tender/IFC documents.
- Ensure quality control across all design submissions.
Coordination
- Lead coordination with cross-discipline teams (MEP, hydraulics, geotechnical, environment, architecture).
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to address design queries and technical issues.
- Manage design stages across DB, EPC, and traditional contract frameworks.
Software Skills
- STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Robot, PROKON, TEKLA (advanced proficiency).
- AutoCAD & Revit (good working knowledge).
- Advanced MS Excel, VBA automation abilities preferred.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s acceptable with strong experience.
- 6–8 years of proven structural design experience in buildings & water infrastructure.
- Excellent understanding of IS, Eurocode, ACI, and BS Codes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead junior engineers and deliver multiple projects.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
