Structural BIM Modeller – Concrete Structures
Job Location: Dubai South, Dubai, UAE
Working Schedule: 6 days per week
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant structural BIM modelling experience
Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Structural BIM Modellers for a fast-track project involving extensive reinforced concrete and substructure works. The role involves developing accurate models and coordinated construction drawings, with submissions aligned to site priorities and construction sequences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update structural BIM models for foundations, pile caps, rafts, retaining walls, columns, beams, slabs, pits and other concrete structures.
- Model openings, recesses, embedded items, construction joints and pour boundaries based on approved project information.
- Produce general arrangement drawings, concrete setting-out drawings, sections and construction details.
- Coordinate structural models with architectural, MEP and civil disciplines to identify and resolve clashes.
- Raise technical queries and incorporate approved responses, design revisions and coordination comments.
- Extract concrete quantities and schedules from the model.
- Organise models and drawings by construction zones, work packages and pour sequences.
- Follow the project BIM Execution Plan, required Level of Development, naming conventions and quality procedures.
- Check model accuracy, drawing consistency and completeness before submission.
- Prepare as-built model updates using verified construction records.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on structural BIM modelling experience, including large-scale reinforced concrete and substructure works.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
- Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications and engineering details.
- Practical understanding of concrete construction methods, interfaces and sequencing.
- Experience managing frequent design revisions and phased deliverables on fast-track projects.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with engineers, BIM coordinators and site teams.
- UAE/GCC project experience and familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar common data environments are preferred.
